eliminate everything unessential

and let me become-imperceptible,
a stranger to neighbours,
a puzzle piece lacking distinction,
to become indiscernible
erase all that exceeds this moment in me
but retain what it is,
its haecceities,
yo yo ma's cello,
his unaccompanied suites,
his abstract line overlaid
in elegant transparency,
while my mind mis-aligns,
no longer distinguishes whose movement it is
but extracts (only) speeds and slownesses

without seeking resemblance
