transom

from within
this small burning arc of an epoch,
barely perceptible flaming curve,
an elegant idea is that which expresses
the fullest possible series of meanings
in the most concentrated possible statement,
idea of Occam's Razor, philosophical tool, concept,
one that accounts for all aspects of a phenomenon
with the fewest possible terms,
will be more likely to be correct
than a theory which accounts for the same phenomenon
using more (or more complex) terms,
like a wordless thought that slides down the throat
so thick and sweet with the lingering warmth
of one flesh-fingered tip to a chin
that tilts the taste
of
a
siphoned
secret
shared
in
the
slip
of
a
softening
glance

to reduce the extraneous,
to saturate every atom
with an economy of line,
each breath, compressed

yes, [hard to acheive and to bear in mind, sometimes]

a 3 day weekend
in just three lines
