.
This morning,
I awoke abruptly
from inside the chasm of sleep,
from deep in a dream.
And at the precise point of waking,
a voice in my dream was saying to me,
"Time is moving too quickly."
The rest of my dream
is for me to keep.
But these words resound.
"For when the heart goes before, like a lamp,
and illumines the pathway,
Many things are made clear that else lie hidden
in darkness."
(Longfellow, 1847)

How often do we (I) hear the voice but not listen?
Too often.
I'll wager that you do indeed hear it, but perhaps not always when you expect it.
The aha!
in its own time
and place.
Sometimes I find that I crave the sound of silence so that I might hear what isn't otherwise here.
I enjoyed this one. A little clarification:
Which words resound? "Time is moving too quickly" or what Longfellow said?
Coincidence, that we both wrote about dreams in a our recent posts!! :-) I didn't notice this post of yours even while I commented on the other ones...

Yes, I crave silence too, sometimes.
It often speaks volumes.

Both resound. "Time is moving too quickly" are the words that lifted me out of sleep. But Longfellow's ideas were part of the larger dream.
And what if there are no coincidences? All, as it is meant to be?
